Darjeeling Tourist Spot in India is known as “The Hill Queen of India”. This is one of the most popular hilly areas under West Bengal Tourism. Basically Darjeeling is famous for Tea Gardens, Kanchanjangha Hill, Toy train, Momo, Valley, Monastery, Ropeway.

Here, I’m gonna tell you 10 Best Darjeeling Tourist Spot.

Here are the top 10 Tourist Spot in Darjeeling:

1. Tiger Hill – The Gangz La

Tiger Hill has located 13 km (6 miles)  from Darjeeling. It is better to book a local cab in advance for this place. Must arrive before sunset and would you like to photography, then fix your camera first. Views are best in Spring and Autumn. Most of the time it is foggy here. This place is great for sunrise. Every morning most of the people crowded here and see the glimpse of the Kanchenjunga. Tiger Hill Darjeeling view is like breathtaking and sees the highest peak of the Kanchenjunga. Highest peak around 28000 feet. This place is absolutely amazing. Kanchenjunga is surrounded by rivers all around.

2. Batasia Loop – The Spriral Railway of Darjeeling

Batasia loop is located 5 KM or 3.2 Mile away from Darjeeling town. In these areas, street food is the better option and very cheap price. You have to enter in Gorkha War Memorial, Batasia. And this memorial is constructed in 1879, it is a memory of who is belong in Darjeeling and died in 1947 Independence.  Batasia loop is a remarkable loop between Ghoom and Darjeeling in India. It is one of the famous places that you can view Darjeeling in 360 angles.

3. Mall Market – The Evening Spot

Darjeeling Mall market, I have provided depth information about top things to do.

• Two things you can have it, Thupka and Momo in Shangri-La.
• You can just take a pony ride over mall road Darjeeling.
• Must taste a sip of coffee at Himalayan Java coffee.
• Here famous market Darjeeling Chawk Bazar. Shopping is a common activity in this market.
• You can trek Mahakal Temple from Chourasta Road.

4. Rock Garden – Barbotey Rock Garden

One of the most visited places “Rock Gardens” in Darjeeling Tourist Spot. Moreover this place famous for flawless waterfalls. Rock Garden is located less than 30 km from Darjeeling Mall Road and Rock Garden Entry Fee for Indians INR 10 and foreigners INR 50. Open hours daily 10 am to 4 pm. It is a place where you can spend time with your friends and family, just take a seat and enjoy the original view of nature. There are various hotels where you can stay one night for more enjoy.

5. Sandakphu Trek – The Ultimate Paradise

Sandakphu is the highest peak in West Bengal. Its is called “Trekker’s Paradise”. Sandakphu Trekking Cost around 10000 INR per person. 

Best Time to Visit: January to March

Temperature: 10-degree Celcius in summer and -5-degree in winter

6. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI) Darjeeling

You go for Darjeeling, you can not miss up this Institute. The reason is most of the famous mountain trekker was trained from here and you see the trekking original staff. This institute have more historical things in Museum. Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary victory gained through the combat of Mount Everest in 1953 for the first time. HMI Restaurant and Tea Parlor is famous for tourist attraction.

About HMI: This institute provided 28 Days Mountaineering Course including base camp.

7. Shrubbery Nightingale Park

Singalia National Park, you will see exotic wildlife and plants. You may see cats and exotic red pandas in the national park. Additionally here, Famous for Red Panda. There are narrow roads in the park and you can take a jeep ride here. Getting into the deep forest is very dangerous.

Entry Fee:  For Indian people INR 10 and For Foreigner INR 200. Additionally to Foreigner Must have a valid Identity Proof. You have to pay 400 rupees separately for taking photos and videos in the park.

8. Tinchuley

Tinchuleya is located less than 25 km from Darjeeling. Here are the most visible sunrise points. It would be a mistake to say that Tinchuleya is just a tourist destination. There are many places to visit here where the crowds of tourists stay all year round.The weather in Tinchuley is always cold.

 I strongly recommend two places:

• Takdah cantonment
• Rangli-Rangliot tea garden
• Chota Mangwa Hill 
• Bara Mangwa Hill
• Lamahatta

9. Singalia National Park – The Home Base of Red Panda

Nightingale Park is located about 15 min away from Chourasta Mall. This Park is open from 8 am until 8 pm. It is an ideal place for viewing nature as well as Kanchenjunga. From British ruler named as Shrubbery. It is one of my favourite tourist place Darjeeling Tourist Spot. Well, I preferred this place to visit December because will see snow fall.

10. Peace Pagoda & Japanese Temple

This Japanese temple is located 10 minutes away from the city of Darjeeling. The temple is known as “Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple”.  From the top of the Pagoda, You will see the whole city of Darjeeling including Kanchenjunga.
